1Migration and Central GrabenHydrocarbon Accumulation in the Pilot Field
The Pilot Field is located in block 21/27 some 30 kms from the western edge of the Central Graben Kimmeridge Clay source kitchen. The accumulation, which contains both oil and gas, therefore requires long distance hydrocarbon migration.

2The Oil Play in the Southern North Sea
Two relatively under-explored areas within the Southern North Sea retain potential for oil exploration, with proven oil-prone and mature source rocks developed along trend east and west of the southern area and some intriguing shows within the northern area. High-quality reservoirs have been proven by drilling in the Lower Permian, Triassic and Lower Cretaceous, with moderate quality reservoirs in the Carboniferous.

3The Fulmar Sandstone in the Central Graben
Shallow and marginal marine sandstone facies of the late Jurassic Fulmar Sandstone Formation form one of the most important reservoirs in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea.The Fulmar is a key reservoir objective throughout the Central Graben area, but with most major fields located in the southernmost part of Quadrants 22 and 23 and in the northern part of Quadrants 29 and 30.9/14b-14
